The American Dental Association is an American professional association that was founded in 1859. It is the largest dental association and it is the leading source of oral health-related information for dentists and their patients. The American Dental Association also provides the American Dental Association Seal of Approval for many oral hygiene products.

The ADA Seal of Approval is a small logo printed on many oral hygiene tools, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, electric toothbrushes and more. This stamp of approval proves that the product is safe and effective in an oral hygiene routine. This is the case because the ADA tests products that were voluntarily sent to the association. They thoroughly examine the safety and effectiveness of the tool. If the tool passes the tests, it can support the ADA Seal of Approval on its packaging.

When you’re shopping for new oral hygiene products, it’s best to choose a tool that has this Seal of Approval. This is because there are many toothbrushes, toothpastes, floss, rinses and other oral hygiene products that aren’t as effective or as safe as you wish them to be. So, it’s very important to look for this logo while you search the oral hygiene aisle at the store.
